Everyone Has A Story To Tell …
Gather, share, and capture the stories that make this season truly special.
When we set out to publish Belle Curve Stories, our hope was to motivate, inspire, and encourage women approaching 50 and beyond to “see what’s possible” at this stage in life. We decided to do this by finding and sharing stories of women living their lives with “grit, grace, and growth.”
So far, we have published the stories of more than 40 women. Some are using their life experience to solve big social problems. Some are providing innovative products and services that meet a particular need. Some are sharing their artistic vision. Some have overcome major health challenges. Every single one of them is amazing. We feel truly honored to hear and share their stories and we have learned so much from them.
Here's the crazy thing: Many of the women we profiled were surprised to be invited. They didn’t realize their story was special. They were surprised. They were humbled.
And here’s the wonderful thing: Upon seeing their own story, in their own words in print, they felt delighted and empowered.
Giving the Gift of Storytelling
Sharing and receiving stories is a gift. It’s a blessing for the storyteller, for the listener, and for the readers.
With this in mind, we have an idea for you: one of the best gifts you can give to the people you love is to allow them to be heard. We encourage you to capture stories yourself this holiday season.
Ask Dad to tell you the family favorites that you’ve already heard dozens of times.
Get your uncle to tell you something you didn’t already know.
Allow your children to share their wisdom.
Encourage Mom to share her heartbreaks and her joys.
Have your neighbor tell you about their failures and their successes.
Solicit their opinion.
Take their advice.
Listen.
Ask follow-up questions.

Maybe the stories you hear, and record will inspire, motivate, and encourage. Perhaps they will teach or entertain while they uncover the extraordinary in the ordinary. We hope that by capturing these stories you will strengthen bonds, create memories, and preserve legacies. We hope the experience will bless you and your storytellers as the stories we have captured in Belle Curve Stories this year have blessed us.
Yours truly,
